COVID-19 Precautions and Policy Changes
At Mastnardo Massage Therapies, we strive to provide a safe, relaxing environment for your wellness needs. Due to many concerns surrounding COVID-19, we are taking extra preventative measures to maintain a clean and safe environment for our clients and staff. Keeping our clients and team safe is our top priority. This is being achieved by following the guidelines provided by the CDC and Ohio Department of Health. Consequently, we will be limiting the number of clients we see per day to schedule extra time between sessions.
Client and Staff Safety:
We require our clients and staff members to stay home if they have experienced any of the COVID-19 symptoms in the past 14 days. We will send our COVID-19 Questionnaire with your appointment reminder. The form will need to be completed and electronically signed and submitted before arriving for your appointment. Additionally, we will conduct a verbal assessment upon your arrival. Anyone with any of the COVID-19 symptoms will not be treated or charged a cancellation fee.
Sanitation and Cleanliness:
Our entire facility is professionally cleaned once a week, by an outside company contracted by the medical team.
Also, as one of our sanitation procedures, we will be wiping down every possible surface, including, but not limited to, massage tables, door handles, and countertops. Sheets are washed and sanitized on high heat. Our massage therapists will also take an extra step and wipe down the face cradle of the bed, stool, and any massage tools utilized during the session.
Massage with Mask:
Your service providers will be working with masks and request that our clients wear masks. We understand there may be potential discomfort for those who choose to wear a mask in a prone position. We will assess each on a case-by-case basis, for example using side-lying positioning to address the lateral and posterior aspects of the body. We will have masks available for clients if needed.
While the one-on-one interaction with our client is essential, we will follow the advised recommendations set by the CDC and the State of Ohio. In addition, we now have a contactless payment system which includes Apple Pay and Google Pay. You may also now pay for your session at the time of booking via our online portal.
Air Quality and Purification:
We are adding HEPA filters to our rooms.
Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, we have modified our cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all our clients. We hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, we understand and request you to please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations.
As a Licensed Massage Therapy business, we will follow the instructions and guidelines of the Ohio Department of Health. They will be in contact with the CDC regarding the COVID-19 situation and notify us when we should change our guidelines and procedures.
