About Us

Mastnardo Massage Therapies was founded in 2001 focusing on a holistic approach to wellness, utilizing education and self-awareness. Our mission is to help clients maintain a healthier, pain-free life through the specificity of touch.

All of our Massage Therapists are licensed through the State Medical Board of Ohio. They are experienced in working with patients who suffer from various medical conditions, as well as those trying to reach or maintain overall wellness. While each has her own areas of specialty, all techniques and training are similar. We regularly conduct hands-on, in-house sessions to ensure the consistent level of expertise and professionalism our clients have come to expect.

When booking, if your preferred Massage Therapist is not available at the time of booking, we encourage you to book with one of our other Therapists.

Diane

Diane Mastnardo has been a licensed massage therapist since 1999 and opened her practice, Mastnardo Massage Therapies, in 2001. She approaches wellness holistically, utilizing education and self-awareness through the specificity of touch, to maintain a healthier pain-free life.

In 2014, Diane became the founding director of Massage Northern Ohio (MNO-PBRN), a massage therapy practice-based research network. She worked in partnership with The Center for Reducing Health Disparities and Case Western Reserve Practice-based Research Network Shared Resources to develop an avenue for clinical massage therapists to collaborate. The goal of MNO-PBRN is to support the generation of evidence-based knowledge on effective and consistent massage therapy treatments and to develop pathways for the integration of the practice of massage therapy into conventional health care.

Over the years, Diane realized the need to educate people on body awareness using their senses. In 2018, she collaborated with a certified aromatherapist/yoga instructor to develop a technique to engage four neurological inputs: Breathing, Acupressure, Aromatherapy, and Movement, or BAAM! The BAAM technique provides emotional and social tools at our fingertips and directly affects symptoms of anxiety and stress. These tools can also be used to increase focus, and regulate emotions, heart rate, and muscle tension.

Diane joined Healthy Minds Healthy Communities in 2020 as a Holistic Health Consultant.

Amy has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2000. She enjoys layering various therapies during the massage session. She often incorporates sound healing in the form of tuning forks placed along acupressure points to help assist stubborn trigger points to release.

Amy also enjoys utilizing myofascial cupping, and Tibetan singing bowl sound healing to calm the nervous system for an especially relaxing experience. Amy is focused on educating her clients on self-healing techniques to balance the chakra system.

Amy worked in a hospital fitness setting, and physical therapy clinics before launching into the Massage Clinic environment.  She brings years of experience and training in a medical setting to her myofascial release sessions. Amy is also certified in Reiki and enjoys teaching freedom of movement through hoop classes.

Sarah-Jane received her B.S. in Health Sciences at Cleveland State University and later completed the massage therapy program at Tri-C. She is particularly interested in the role the nervous system plays in relation to pain and dysfunction in the body. To further her education and experience with this system, she attended multiple craniosacral therapy classes through the Upledger Institute, and completed training in restorative and trauma-informed yoga. She believes embodiment and touch are essential for supporting a healthy mind and body.

Jessica Julian, LMT was interested in things related to the body and healing since childhood. She was first exposed to yoga in 2000 and her yoga practice and meditation became an important part of her life. She received Reiki I certification in 2002, but didn't go further into bodywork for several years. After pursuing her undergraduate and graduate education and becoming a licensed social worker, she entered the therapeutic world from the angle of a talk therapist. She enjoyed her work, but the stress of the field necessitated her leaving to heal her own vicarious trauma. She began receiving Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) and through this trasformative time became committed to understanding the deeper levels of stress, trauma and the self-regulating abilities of the nervous system. In 2010 she had the opportunity to start training in BCST with Gary Peterson, RCST at his STAR Institute and in 2011 entered Cuyahoga Community College's massotherapy program and became a licensed massage therapist. To date she has completed over 500 hours of training in BCST and has completed two 40-hour trainings in Northern-style Thai-Yoga massage. She has a lot of passion for all therapies that help the mind-body be more coherent and healthy and aims to use her eclectic approach to benefit clients' personal needs.
